During the 2002/07/31 teleconf, I got the action item A-2002-07-31-1 to "investigate web requirements (eg CGI) to handle questionaire form". Here are the results of my investigation: - the current registration system used to register for a meeting could be used as the voting system, but it doesn't fit our need very well, especially because the "registration" process is a bit long and complicated for a simple vote (you have to provide an email address, use a confirmation number, fill your contact informations and then only you can fill the form) - another unofficial system has been set up for the XML Schema Team Contact and is exactly suited for ballots. Unfortunately, in its current state, it might only work for WG ballots, and in our case, the questionnaire would be cross-WG Hence we have 2 solutions: - either we develop from scratch a CGI to gather the answers to the questionnaire - or we just use the traditional emails voting Dom -- Dominique Hazaël-Massieux - http://www.w3.org/People/Dom/ W3C/INRIA mailto:dom@w3.org
