This is exactly how it should be done, and is exactly what no browser does, except for Henrik's LineMode browser :) I think it's great that the linemode browser also tests latency for each address before making a connection - as long as that doesn't become too expensive, it makes the establishment of mirror sites around the web *very* elegant.
