Summary of 11 November 2002 Patent Policy Working Group Teleconference

Hello,

    Twenty three people attended the 11 November 2002 Patent Policy
    Working Group (PPWG) teleconference. The group had two outstanding
    issues and closed them both during the meeting. Government license
    obligations and university license requirements were solved through
    minor editorial changes to the 8 November internal draft policy. The
    group decided that the obligations of Working Group participants who
    are employees of W3C hosts could also be clarified through a minor
    editorial change. The group then reviewed this draft as a candidate
    for Last Call Working Draft. The Chair took five editorial action
    items. The group approved the draft for publication. Following their
    presentation at the W3C Advisory Committee Meeting on 19 November,
    group meets next by phone on 2 December.
