Response to EmotionML LCWD comment ISSUE-186: Relationships between vocabularies

Hello Janina,

this is to reply to one of the comments on the EmotionML by W3C WAI PF
that you sent on 20 June [1], specifically:

ISSUE-186 Make explicit the relationship between different emotion
vocabularies

The group has discussed the issue and proposes the following solution:

DEFER

We agree with your assessment that the possibility to represent
relations between emotion vocabularies would be important, but that
including it at this stage would not be suitable. Actually, one of the
items on our todo list for EmotionML 1.1 reads: "Relations between
emotions should be represented". There is an obvious need for
representing this kind of relation, but unfortunately it raises many
issues that are far from trivial, so working on this part at this time
would hold back the specification substantially.

Please let us know if you agree with this resolution within 14 days,
i.e. by 9 September. Should we not hear from you by that date, we will
consider this to represent implicit approval, but explicit feedback is
always better.

Thanks and best regards,
Marc
