Hi www-multimodal, I am pleased to announce that the Multimodal Interaction Working Group has just published a new Working Group Note, Use Cases for Possible Future EMMA Features, http://www.w3.org/TR/2009/NOTE-emma-usecases-20091215/. Throughout the implementation report process and discussion since EMMA 1.0 became a W3C Recommendation, a number of new possible use cases for the EMMA language have emerged. These include the use of EMMA to represent multimodal output, biometrics, emotion, sensor data, multi-stage dialogs, and interactions with multiple users. This document describes these use cases and illustrates how the EMMA language could be extended to support them. Our goal in publishing these use cases is to gather feedback on these ideas and other possible changes for future versions of EMMA, and we would very much welcome your comments. Please send your comments to this list. Here's the announcement. http://www.w3.org/News/2009#entry-8683 best regards, Debbie Dahl, Multimodal Interaction Working Group Chair for the Multimodal Interaction Working Group
