Second Working Draft of InkML published

Hi www-multimodal,

The W3C Multimodal Interaction Working Group is glad to announce
the publication of the second Working Draft of the Ink Markup Language (InkML).
InkML serves as a data format for representing ink entered with an
electronic pen or stylus.

This second version of the Working Draft adds facilities for detailed
recording of time information for the captured ink (sections 2.1.6 and
2.2.2). The attribute for associating the format of trace data with
the device used to capture it has also been defined (section
3.3.2). The draft introduces a new, generic mapping syntax which
allows for MathML formulas (section 4.1), and the mechanism for
referring to ink traces (for semantic labelling or other purposes) has
also been simplified (section 6.1). Finally, each element has been
given its own section, which includes a definition of its attributes
and contents.

Feedback on the specification is very much welcome on this mailing
list.
