researcher in multimodal communication

I have recently suscribed to the www-multimodal@w3.org mailing-list

Since 1999, I have been Assistant Professor in Computer Science at the
Montreuil Computer Science Institute (IUT), University Paris 8
My research activities are mainly done at LIMSI-CNRS (group AMI). I am
also associate to the LINC laboratory.
I defended my PhD in 1995 on the topic of "Multimodal Interfaces". I
also have a diploma of Engineer in Telecommunications (ENST Paris).

My topic of research include:
- specification, development and evaluation of
multimodal input software (e.g. integration of speech recognition
and 2D gestures)
multimodal output software (e.g. embodied conversational agents)
- recording, annotation and analysis of corpora of multimodal
communication (either human-human or human-computer) ISLE NIMM project
- use of these in domains and applications such as interactive TV,
conversational game, speech therapist & autism
- fundamental studies of cooperation between modalities

I would be happy to contribute to the Multimodal Interaction Activity.
