Dear All, This is a mail to raise awareness on a new workshop W3C is organizing April 1-2 2009 on the role of Mobile Technologies in fostering Social and Economic Development in Africa. All details are at http://www.w3.org/2008/10/MW4D_WS/ This workshop has in its scope all technologies available on mobile that could help delivering development-oriented applications nad services towards underprivileged populations of Developing countries. this includes, but not limited to, mobile browsing, and voice applications. This workshop is organized as part of the Mobile Web for Social Development Interest Group http://www.w3.org/2008/MW4D/ This workshop has a specific sponsorship program to allow us to offer travel grant to people from Developing Countries who have field expertise but could not afford to come to the event.
