Hello everyone, over the last couple of month I worked on an open source java framework to help me to recognize a specific device/browser and to determine the capabilities of such. I did it because of frustrating experiences with existing software. The software is not related to CC/PP, but I followed the development of it a little and always found it very interesting. I'm definitely looking for help to improve the software and expand the possibilities. The most immediate help right now I need is in completing the device capabilities list. Let me know if you want to join and help. I still have to lay down a road map and look for ideas where to got to. Goal was to keep the software small, simple and ready to do the job now and not in 12 month from now which I always thought was the problem behind CC/PP, not ready to use NOW even so the concept is great. Correct me if I'm wrong. The documentation at http://merkwelt.sourceforge.net/documentation/index.html should be a good start. The list of supported device/browser types can be found at: http://merkwelt.sourceforge.net/documentation/resolverProfiles/. . I also wrote an article about it for an industry newsletter which explains what the software does: http://www.cscout.com/News/newsletter_02-11-01.html#kolumne_1. Appreciate any feedback, Stan Wiechers
