Hi Haitham, I'm working also in the content negotiation and adaptation problem in heterogeneous environments, (i.e. in environments that include a wide diversity of devices not only WAP phones). You can take a look on these two papers that discuss in a part: CC/PP and the content negotiation: http://www.inrialpes.fr/opera/people/Tayeb.Lemlouma/Papers/RSRS.pdf http://www.inrialpes.fr/opera/people/Tayeb.Lemlouma/Papers/ANegoP.pdf I think if your end users are in the form of WAP clients or devices that follow the WAP model, a UAProf profile will be very suitable for that. Otherwise you can use other profiling schemas that can meet your needs. I invite you to take a look on a basic schema that it was defined especially for the content negotiation and adaptation problem and for a wide range of devices: http://www.inrialpes.fr/opera/people/Tayeb.Lemlouma/NegotiationSchema/index.htm The idea of defining such schema was to offer the possibility to create not only a CC/PP profile that describe the client capabilities and preferences but also other parameters that play a role in the content delivery such as :network, services, adaptation methods, etc. I hope this will help, best regards ---------- Tayeb Lemlouma http://www.inrialpes.fr/opera/people/Tayeb.Lemlouma/index.html Opera project National Research Institute in Computer Science and Control (INRIA Rhône-Alpes, France ) Office B213, phone (+33) 04 76 61 52 81, Fax (+33) 04 76 61 52 07.
