04/25/2022 MathML Core Meeting<https://github.com/w3c/mathml-core/issues/143> Attendees * Louis Maher * Oriol Brufau * Bruce Miller * Murray Sargent * Neil Soiffer * David Carlisle * Brian Kardell * Bert Bos Regrets Agenda items, feel free to suggest more Implementation report/WPT integrations Implementation report stopped updating on Sun Mar 06 2022 #119<https://github.com/w3c/mathml-core/issues/119> BK: The implementation report comes from the Igalia server which is not working now. NS: What is the purpose of providing the information? Who is the audience for this report? BK: The implementation report tells you how the browsers are doing in supporting the specification. From Brian Kardell to Everyone: If you look at (https://www.w3.org/TR/css-grid-1/) it points to a section of the Web Platform Tests for its implementation report. ACTION: BK: will implement the solution. DC: will also work on the GH-action solution. Here is the web-platform-tests dashboard https://wpt.fyi/results/?label=master&label=experimental&aligned&q=math OB: When you ship a feature, you need the approval of three API owners. There is a process for asking for this approval. BK: There is a monthly meeting of API members. NS: Will we see Chrome shipped in July? BK: Best case scenario would be something like that. DG: Question for the meeting: We have 4 issues with the agenda label, visible at "issue open; label Agenda"<https://github.com/w3c/mathml-core/issues?q=is%3Aissue+is%3Aopen+label%3AAgenda>. * I recall #52<https://github.com/w3c/mathml-core/issues/52> and #70<https://github.com/w3c/mathml-core/issues/70> were close to resolved during the group discussions. Are they ready? NS: For 52, as much as I do not like it, we agreed to remove mo@accent because it seems most software does not generate it and David Cervone at MathJax agreed to drop MathJax from generating it. I will close it. NS: For 70, we agree that "-"needs to be transformed into hyphen-minus and that if Igalia's implementation does not support it, that should be a test failure. The Jan minutes say we will discuss this later, but I cannot find where we said it should be done. It is supported by Safari and Firefox. I just added a needs-test label. I guess we need to formally minute this and add that to a comment. * #38<https://github.com/w3c/mathml-core/issues/38> may simply need the label removed. NS: For 38, It is level 2, so no need to talk about it now. * #104<https://github.com/w3c/mathml-core/issues/104> does not have a clear note on what is the condition to close - maybe it is also closeable? NS: for 104, This is done. I will close it. NS: We need to update the WD of core -- it is supposed to be updated within six months, move it to CR, or it dies. DC: wants to experiment with this issue before suggesting a solution. DC: We are not ready to send out a working draft this week. BB: will push out a draft this week using what we have. DC: Discuss a github actions workflow cf w3c/mathml#329<https://github.com/w3c/mathml/issues/329> Regards Louis Maher Phone: 713-444-7838 E-mail: ljmaher03@outlook.com
