MathML makes it possible to generate speech corresponding to the MathML. But sometimes users/authors have specific needs and want to specify exactly what should be spoken. This might go beyond specifying a plain text speech string. The MathML WG has put up some ideas on how this might work on the MathML WG's wiki: https://www.w3.org/Math/wiki/Speech_Annotations Anyone can create a login and comment on or edit the page. If you are interested in this area, please add your ideas and comments to that wiki page.
