Dear all, I'm glad to announce that Firefox 15 is now available. The main change in the MathML layout engine is the ability to use downloadable fonts for stretchy mathematical operators. In particular, the MathML fonts add-on (https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/mathml-fonts/) is now fully compatible with Gecko 15. Moreover, authors can use @font-face rules to specify fallback mathematical fonts for users that do not have them installed. Here are some notes for the release, aurora and beta channels: * Firefox 15: - Mathematical operators can now use downloadable fonts specified with @font-face. - Deprecated namedspace binding has been removed. - Supported syntax for Length and <mpadded> values have been made closer to the one specified in MathML3 spec. - New MathML mirrorable operators for Arabic math. - Fix some bugs with the maction element. * Firefox 16: - Change the default value for attributes mo@lspace/rspace to "thickmathspace". - Selection attribute on maction is now considered by default. * Firefox 17: - Update parsing for mtable@align As usual, you can get a complete list of changes here: https://wiki.mozilla.org/MathML:Home_Page#Last_bugs_fixed -- Frédéric Wang maths-informatique-jeux.com/blog/frederic
