There is a nonmathematical Unicode double horizontal bar 2550;BOX DRAWINGS DOUBLE HORIZONTAL;So;0;ON;;;;;N;FORMS DOUBLE HORIZONTAL;;;; But most double horizontal bars are equal signs of one kind or another. There are also 0333, COMBINING DOUBLE LOW LINE and 033F, COMBINING DOUBLE OVERLINE. Saf, what do you need a double horizontal bar for? Murray
