> Unfortunately, I do not understand what they mean by the class N. Yes I suspect that people will have different views on whether certain symbols in class N are identifiers or operators. (The distinction in mathml between an identifier and an operator which has no special spacing rules specified in an operator dictionary is rather slight, just as the distinction between an operator that takes no arguments and an identifier for a symbol is rather vague). The translation to MathML used by Word2007 for example, a slightly old version of which is on Brian Jones blog at: http://blogs.msdn.com/brian_jones/archive/2006/08/16/700494.aspx linking to http://jonesxml.com/resources/omml2mml.xsl Has an explict list of characters that get turned into mo: see the very first definition in the file <!-- Every single unicode character that is recognized by OMML as an operator --> <xsl:variable name="sOperators" select="concat( '!"()+,-/⫾:;<', '=>?[\]{|}¡¬±', '·¿×÷        ', ' ‐‒–—‖†‡•․‥…', '‼⁀⁎⁏⁐ ⁡⁢⁣⅀←↑', '→↓↔↕↖↗↘↙↚↛↜↝', '↞↟↠↡↢↣↤↥↦↧↨↩', '↪↫↬↭↮↯↰↱↲↳↶↷', '↺↻↼↽↾↿⇀⇁⇂⇃⇄⇅', '⇆⇇⇈⇉⇊⇋⇌⇍⇎⇏⇐⇑', '⇒⇓⇔⇕⇖⇗⇘⇙⇚⇛⇜⇝', '⇞⇟⇠⇡⇢⇣⇤⇥⇦⇧⇨⇩', '⇴⇵⇶⇷⇸⇹⇺⇻⇼⇽⇾⇿', '∀∁∂∃∄∆∇∈∉∊∋∌', '∍∏∐∑−∓∔∕∖∗∘∙', '√∛∜∝∣∤∥∦∧∨∩∪', '∫∬∭∮∯∰∱∲∳∴∵∶', '∷∸∹∺∻∼∽∾≀≁≂≃', '≄≅≆≇≈≉≊≋≌≍≎≏', '≐≑≒≓≔≕≖≗≘≙≚≛', '≜≝≞≟≠≡≢≣≤≥≦≧', '≨≩≪≫≬≭≮≯≰≱≲≳', '≴≵≶≷≸≹≺≻≼≽≾≿', '⊀⊁⊂⊃⊄⊅⊆⊇⊈⊉⊊⊋', '⊌⊍⊎⊏⊐⊑⊒⊓⊔⊕⊖⊗', '⊘⊙⊚⊛⊜⊝⊞⊟⊠⊡⊢⊣', '⊥⊦⊧⊨⊩⊪⊫⊬⊭⊮⊯⊰', '⊱⊲⊳⊴⊵⊶⊷⊸⊹⊺⊻⊼', '⊽⋀⋁⋂⋃⋄⋅⋆⋇⋈⋉⋊', '⋋⋌⋍⋎⋏⋐⋑⋒⋓⋔⋕⋖', '⋗⋘⋙⋚⋛⋜⋝⋞⋟⋠⋡⋢', '⋣⋤⋥⋦⋧⋨⋩⋪⋫⋬⋭⋮', '⋯⋰⋱⋲⋳⋴⋵⋶⋷⋸⋹⋺', '⋻⋼⋽⋾⋿⌅⌆⌈⌉⌊⌋⌜', '⌝⌞⌟⌢⌣〈〉⌽⌿⎰⎱▲', '△▴▵▶▷▸▹▼▽▾▿◀', '◁◂◃◄◅◊○◦◫◬◸◹', '◺◻◼◽◾◿★☆❲❳⟑⟒', '⟓⟔⟕⟖⟗⟘⟙⟚⟛⟜⟝⟞', '⟟⟠⟡⟢⟣⟤⟥⟦⟧⟨⟩⟪', '⟫⟰⟱⟲⟳⟴⟵⟶⟷⟸⟹⟺', '⟻⟼⟽⟾⟿⤀⤁⤂⤃⤄⤅⤆', '⤇⤈⤉⤊⤋⤌⤍⤎⤏⤐⤑⤒', '⤓⤔⤕⤖⤗⤘⤙⤚⤛⤜⤝⤞', '⤟⤠⤡⤢⤣⤤⤥⤦⤧⤨⤩⤪', '⤫⤬⤭⤮⤯⤰⤱⤲⤳⤴⤵⤶', '⤷⤸⤹⤺⤻⤼⤽⤾⤿⥀⥁⥂', '⥃⥄⥅⥆⥇⥈⥉⥊⥋⥌⥍⥎', '⥏⥐⥑⥒⥓⥔⥕⥖⥗⥘⥙⥚', '⥛⥜⥝⥞⥟⥠⥡⥢⥣⥤⥥⥦', '⥧⥨⥩⥪⥫⥬⥭⥮⥯⥰⥱⥲', '⥳⥴⥵⥶⥷⥸⥹⥺⥻⥼⥽⥾', '⥿⦀⦂⦃⦄⦅⦆⦇⦈⦉⦊⦋', '⦌⦍⦎⦏⦐⦑⦒⦓⦔⦕⦖⦗', '⦘⦙⦚⦶⦷⦸⦹⧀⧁⧄⧅⧆', '⧇⧈⧎⧏⧐⧑⧒⧓⧔⧕⧖⧗', '⧘⧙⧚⧛⧟⧡⧢⧣⧤⧥⧦⧫', '⧴⧵⧶⧷⧸⧹⧺⧻⧼⧽⧾⧿', '⨀⨁⨂⨃⨄⨅⨆⨇⨈⨉⨊⨋', '⨌⨍⨎⨏⨐⨑⨒⨓⨔⨕⨖⨗', '⨘⨙⨚⨛⨜⨝⨞⨟⨠⨡⨢⨣', '⨤⨥⨦⨧⨨⨩⨪⨫⨬⨭⨮⨯', '⨰⨱⨲⨳⨴⨵⨶⨷⨸⨹⨺⨻', '⨼⨽⨾⨿⩀⩁⩂⩃⩄⩅⩆⩇', '⩈⩉⩊⩋⩌⩍⩎⩏⩐⩑⩒⩓', '⩔⩕⩖⩗⩘⩙⩚⩛⩜⩝⩞⩟', '⩠⩡⩢⩣⩤⩥⩦⩧⩨⩩⩪⩫', '⩬⩭⩮⩯⩰⩱⩲⩳⩴⩵⩶⩷', '⩸⩹⩺⩻⩼⩽⩾⩿⪀⪁⪂⪃', '⪄⪅⪆⪇⪈⪉⪊⪋⪌⪍⪎⪏', '⪐⪑⪒⪓⪔⪕⪖⪗⪘⪙⪚⪛', '⪜⪝⪞⪟⪠⪡⪢⪣⪤⪥⪦⪧', '⪨⪩⪪⪫⪬⪭⪮⪯⪰⪱⪲⪳', '⪴⪵⪶⪷⪸⪹⪺⪻⪼⪽⪾⪿', '⫀⫁⫂⫃⫄⫅⫆⫇⫈⫉⫊⫋', '⫌⫍⫎⫏⫐⫑⫒⫓⫔⫕⫖⫗', '⫘⫙⫚⫛⫝̸⫝⫞⫟⫠⫢⫣⫤', '⫥⫦⫧⫨⫩⫪⫫⫬⫭⫮⫯⫰', '⫲⫳⫴⫵⫶⫷⫸⫹⫺⫻⫼⫽')" /> David ________________________________________________________________________ The Numerical Algorithms Group Ltd is a company registered in England and Wales with company number 1249803.
