Thanks for this, It will be a result of inexact markup in in the xmlspec sources for the specification from which the index is generated. I see some similar but different errors in the draft index for MathMl3 http://www.w3.org/TR/MathML3/appendixh.html where for example some OpenMath elemenst are listed but not flagged as being not in the mathml namespace. I'll add some code to the index generator so that it complains if it finds anything marked up as a reference to an element/attribute that doesn't correspond to a defined MathML construct. David
