How to accept math notations in a web page..?

Hi All,
 
I am writing an application to accept various math notations like intgral, algebra etc. in a web page form field and store in a RDBMS for latter retrival and searching.
 
If you have any pointers to resources or commercial or open source products available will be very helpful.
