Hi Brent, > http://www.w3.org/TR/mathml-units/ recommends the use of csymbols of the > form > > <csymbol definitionURL='http://.../units/meter'>m</csymbol> > > to represent units in content MathML. Section 5.3.1 says 'To this > point, no fixed URL has been chosen to represent the base of these > definition URLs' > > Has there been any further discussion on an appropriate base URL? Is > anyone else using this syntax? A bit. Doug Harder (one of the authors of the Note) set up a web site that actually provided reference material at the URIs. E.g. http://cheetah.vlsi.uwaterloo.ca/~dwharder/Units/second/ But this is just his private site. A natural choice would be http://www.w3.org/Math/units but that proposal hasn't been discussed in any detail. This might be an appropriate task for the W3C Math Interest Group which will hopefully be formed in the next few weeks. --Robert ------------------------------------------------------------------ Dr. Robert Miner RobertM@dessci.com MathML 2.0 Specification Co-editor 651-223-2883 Design Science, Inc.
