The goal of the OpenMath project is to develop a set of standards and
tools for the exchange of semantically rich mathematical information.
The OpenMath standard is a language for communicating mathematical
information, allowing OpenMath compliant software to exchange
mathematical objects in a meaningful way. OpenMath compliance
is being planned or developed for products including:
general purpose and specialized computer algebra systems;
document preparation systems;
web browsers;
equation editors;
databases containing mathematical information.
