Hi all again,
I have now managed to merge the 'hhtps over proxy' patch (https-proxy.tar.Z)
into my codebase 5.4.0 successful.
My main problems were that the patch files are based on another code base
than 5.4.0 and therefore the line numbers in the diff-output does not fit
exactly the correct position in the source files from 5.4.0.
But the result is still the same: if I try to send a https request over a
proxy, I get a HT_TIMEOUT. 'Normal' HTTP requests over proxy or direct HTTPS
requests are working well!
Is there anybody out in the universe who gets a libwww running with this
patch?
I'm asking myself, why this patch is NOT merged into the official code base.
Is there a reason?
I would like to thank for every hint to get a https over proxy working!
Thanks,
Juergen
