Fellow contributors and users of Libwww, I've just uploaded release 5.4.0 of Libwww[1]. The main feature of this release is the support for the WebDav protocols. This release also provides bug fixes and small enhancements that have been commited to CVS since the last release. Special thanks to Manuele Kirsch Pinheiro, Richard Atterer, Thurog, Wayne Davison, Peter Stamfest, Zhu Qun-Ying, Jens Meggers, and the members of the www-lib mailing list for their contributions. Many patches sent to the mailing list have not yet been committed. We need more volunteers to carry on this work. The documentation also needs a maintainer. The whole project needs a coordinator, in fact! * Summary of principal changes (the ChangeLog[2] provides a detailed account): - Support of the WebDAV protocols. - Many bug fixes for the RDF parser. - Update of the auto-tool files scripts. Remember, more maintainers means more bug fixes and faster Libwww releases. Many thanks to Manuele Kisrch and Richard Atterer for their help preparing this release. The pre-compiled Win32 binaries (including the Web Commander) will be made available some time next week. Please send all feedback directly to the www-lib@w3.org mailing list. Enjoy :) - jose, on behalf of the Libwww community [1] http://www.w3.org/Library/Distribution/ [2] ftp://ftp.w3.org/pub/libwww/ [3] http://dev.w3.org/cvsweb/~checkout~libwww/ChangeLog?content-type=text/plain&only_with_tag=HEAD
