I have errors in confuring as well, but do not recieve a ./configure in the tarball I downloaded; I get... aclocal: configure.in: 39: macro `AM_PROG_LIBTOOL' not found in library ... when I try to generate a configure script. I think it may have to do with bleeding edge autoconf features. Can anyone point me to a version of libwww sources that will work with autoconf 2.13? 2.14 (etc.) seems very unstable right now. -Erik Phil Reardon <pcr@pinnatel To: www-lib@w3.org .net> cc: Sent by: Subject: config problem? www-lib-reque st@w3.org 08/07/2000 10:08 AM Hello: I downloaded libwww from CVS this morning and ran the include creation script, and performed the bootstrap commands. Then I ran ./configure and got these messages: [pcr1@Beta libwww]$ ./configure creating cache ./config.cache checking host system type... i586-pc-linux-gnu checking target system type... i586-pc-linux-gnu checking build system type... i586-pc-linux-gnu ./configure: syntax error near unexpected token `AM_INIT_AUTOMAKE($PACKAGE,' ./configure: ./configure: line 712: `AM_INIT_AUTOMAKE($PACKAGE, $VERSION) ' Am I missing something here?
