Are there any plans to continue to maintain Libwww? Right now it seems that nobody (who is intimately familiar with the internals) even tries the patches offered by the list members. (At least, there has been no reaction to a couple of such patches designed to fix the two serious bugs that several people stumbled upon: one having to do with local files and one is timer-related.) Even the external modules aren't up-to-date. For instance, there is a new expat parser (6 mos old), but it hasn't made it into the libwww distribution yet. The SSL interface hasn't been incorporated, even though somebody from w3c sent a message 3 months ago saying that it will be added in a month (the change in the US export laws now allows this).
