I need some help with Post in C++

After a long time of looking at this libary i still don't get it all, and it
doesn't really matter if i ever get it fully but i need to know two things.  

1.  How to post data (and timeout if it doesn't work or link broken)

2.  How to load documents from the web (ex. www.somthing.com/index.html)

If someone could help with this etheir by emailing a simple example in C++ or
to point me to the wincom file that has that in it.  I understand alot of the
libary now but i don't know how to write 

PRIVATE int terminate_handler (HTRequest * request, HTResponse * response,
void * param, int status)

in c++
