I'm trying to post data via W3's ComLine tool (aka w3c). The command I'm
giving
ComLine is:
w3c -v -post -dest "http://www.ai.mit.edu/people/ellens/test.html" input
I'm almost certain the problem with the request is the format of the
information to be posted, which is stored in the file mentioned on the
command line (i.e., "input"). Below are some of the contents I've tried,
none of which worked.
While a post request shows up on the server, no data is returned to the
client and the server-side script does not do its task (sending a piece of
mail).
Nothing shows up in the server error log, however. Could you give me a
successful example of a use of w3c to post?
