Hello,
I am attempting to use the ComLine tool to perform non-interactive
queries of several on-line databases. They all use forms with accompanying
cgi scripts. I have had no trouble driving the systems that use the GET
method to pass the form contents, but cannot get the POST method working.
As an example, I issued the following command:
% w3c -post -dest http://www.cs.utexas.edu/users/sammy/cgi/anagram input-file
Where input-file contains the query input. Comline prints the following
output:
Looking up www.cs.utexas.edu
Contacting host...
Read (100% of 1K)
Finished
Written (640% of 1K)
Written (100% of 1K)
And then simply exits. I know that the script is being executed because it
dumps the input data into a local file. However, I can't figure out how to
get the output of the script. Do I need to issue a subsequent GET? Any
help at all would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Sam
