Hi I am a beginner and have been running Jigsaw on my Laptop running win95 and Java 1.3 for a while now . I use Jigsaw to learn servlet programming . Everything was going great till yesterday when I realised that my cable modem connection was down and I was not connected to the internet when I started Jigsaw. The server refused to start and gave a Fatal error saying it did not know what where [host] was.And it failed to start on http://localhost:8001 where it normally starts. Also when I tried to start jigsaw with the -host option i.e java org.w3c.jigsaw.Main -root -host 127.0.0.1 It responded with unknown option host. I tried running the java Install command and tried restarting the server, but it refused to ininitialize untill my internet connection was restored. I was able to start it up just fine once my internet connection was restored with the usual command which does not contain the -host option. Does all this mean that I cannot run Jigsaw without an internet connection. If not, how do i configure it to start without an internet connection so I can just use it to serve documents on my computer alone. All suggestions/inputs will be greatly appreciated. Thanks Hari Jayaram hari@tiger.bcm.tmc.edu
