HttpMananger request time out

I have downloaded the source for jigsaw 2.1 and the HttpManager in the client side api does not seem to have
the setRequestTimeout method implemented. Whenever I use the client api, requests to some web servers 
never seem to timeout even after a wait of 10 minutes. Has this been corrected in a more recent release?
