As I said the server is sending the right bytes. If a specific browser have a problem with PNG images without the conenction to be cut, then.. you may write a short filter that will add a Connection: close on each reply! Of course it is not perfect eprformance-wise as you won't take benefit of HTTP/1.1 keepalive features but...
