Jigsaw 2.0beta3 is out!

The Jigsaw team is happy to announce the new release 2.0beta3 release of
Jigsaw [1].
This release is a bug fix release of the previous version.
Check the short summary of changes in the release notes [2]

The CVS source tree will be soon available so that everyone could check
the changes directly.

Also: If someone can find time to work on digest authentication in HTTP.:

Digest authentication has become much more interesting and now urgent to
implement. The reasons include:
o the urgency of eliminating clear text passwords from both intranets
and the Internet has become much more clear.
o Digest has been fixed to allow server implementations
in which back end third party authentication services may
be used to share a common password across multiple servers
in a server farm. This is done in such a way that breaking
one server does NOT compromise the entire server farm.
o Microsoft (at least) has stated they plan to ship Digest
in future versions of Internet Explorer, so we believe
that it will see significant utility reasonably soon.
The draft is believed stable has completed working group last call and is
about to go to IETF last call.

Thej current draft can be found at:
ftp://ftp.ietf.org/internet-drafts/draft-ietf-http-authentication-03.txt

There are two (or more) projects:
  1) the basic implementation in HTTP of the protocol. Parts of
a sample implementation are in an appendix in the specification.
  2) implementations for one or more backing authentication
services to enable server farms to share passwords (e.g. Kerberos,
etc.).

Enjoy!
