I managed to get the Jigsaw server to run on Windows 98, but I can't get the admin tool to work. There seems to be a problem in the awt portion of the java 1.1.6 on Windows 98. Window events cause large amounts of errors to be printed to the command console, and the app really doesn't do anything. Sun says that they did little testing of 1.1.6 on windows 98 they are recommending 1.1.7. Will the admin system run with 1.1.7? Anyone know how to find it at javasoft? I couldn't find it in early releases. Finally, how hard would it be to put the CGI/forms interface back on the basic server. I was thinking of doing this. It would seem like a CGI interface could be put behind the actual server that used the HTTP protocol needed for the admin system to communicate with the admin system and set the parameters. This would eliminate use of awt which seems to be the problem. Thanks, Brian Eberman.
