I have been trying to get the stop script described by Yves in his list posting of the 12/1/98 working, but with limited success. I'm using Jigsaw 1.0 beta 2 with JDK 1.1.5, and have found that I can stop the http server by sending a LOAD-RESOURCE /http-server/control/Stop request to the admin port as recommended. However, when trying to stop the admin server, by issuing a LOAD-RESOURCE /control/Stop I get no get returned in the reply and no change to the server status. In order to successfully shutdown the admin server I have to set Content-Type: x-jigsaw/config as recommended. However, conversely setting this content type causes the http-server stop request to fail with a 500 Server Error. I have also tried other Content-Type settings (text/html & text/plain) which also return 500's. I include the full verbose output of the stop script for reference.
