My name is Wes Earles and i help run a computer gaming center. We have one computer with a modem and have installed wingate as our system to run the other 5 computers on our LAN through a proxy server. We have been able to access the internet with ie on the other computers but have'nt been able to access certain gaming sites such as Mplayer and Gamespy. I have contacted mplayer and they say we can't play the games but should be able ot log onto the system from our client machines. As of yet we have not been able to do so.They're web site ays the run through ports 8000-8999 but i don't know where to set the ports to allow the client computers to access these. The main computer(the "wingate" machine) uses the modem and is still ablew to log onto these sites. My question is how do I get our proxy server to allow the client computers to access the mplayer system especially and other gaming sites. Thank You , Wes Earles Surfers Paradise Amarillo,Texas
