Looks like the topic was on the agenda for the weekly meeting yesterday,
but I didn't see anything in the minutes. If it's being pushed for next
week, I can join the meeting, if needed.

Now, regarding why it's needed: consider cases where a localized text needs
to go into an HTML textarea, which historically does not allow any
tag-based bidi control, in inline level or paragraph level. In inline
level, embedding/isolation marks are needed, and for in-isolation/block
level, LRM/RLM/ALM.
