One thing I find disturbing about the REQUIREMENTS is that it does not
address the compatibility issues. Are the "blueberry" documents upwards
compatible with the existing, XML 1.0 compliant documents?
I assume that "blueberry" documents MAY break existing XML parsers and other
tools.

The Blueberry requirements [1] are very thoughtfully written and
do *not* make any of the errors you describe. I suggest a second
reading.
