Dear Members of WWW-International, Internationalization work at W3C is done on this list and in the I18N Working Group (WG) and the I18N Interest Group (IG). A large part of the work of these two groups consists in reviewing the work of the many other W3C WGs. In most cases, this is done from WG to WG, without discussion in the public. But one of the WGs with which we worked recently, the joint W3C-IETF XML Digital Signatures WG, conducts their discussions on a public mailing list. Up to now, we have used a rather complicated forwarding schem, because cross-posting between a public list and a restricted list isn't possible. However, this has complicated things needlessly. We therefore finally got the idea to move the discussion to this list on the i18n side. I hope that this not only simplifies cross-posting, but also that everybody on this list gets to see a bit of what the I18N WG/IG are doing, and may be able to help. To allow you to follow the discussion up to now, here a few pointers: The home page of the XML Signature WG: http://www.w3.org/Signature/ The most recent draft of XML Signature Syntax: http://www.w3.org/TR/2000/WD-xmldsig-core-20000601/ The archive of the XML Signature WG http://lists.w3.org/Archives/Public/w3c-ietf-xmldsig/ (all previous correspondence is available from this archive, in particular, please have a look at threads with titles such as 'I18N Last Call comments and disposition'.) If there are any questions, please don't hesitate. Regards, Martin.
