When I'm reading The Register, I encounter article dates like
    Posted: 07/05/2003 at 12:29 GMT
Being a USA citizen, I tend to misread this as "July 5" instead of "May 7".
If I read that same article a couple months from now, I wouldn't even catch
my error. I'd like very much for my browser to be able to convert dates for
me, even if only in a tooltip or a status line message.
This would also be of use to speechreading audio browsers speaking dates
aloud.
