Also, the purpose of HTML 4.01 is not to help us get ready for XHTML. In fact, HTML 4.01 became a recommendation in late 1999; XHTML 2.0 still isn't a recommendation, and XHTML 1.0 wasn't finished until one month after HTML 4.01. -- John
