This has been touched on before here, but as part of a larger list of items: what is the purpose of renaming <q> to <quote>? If an element has identical semantics in previous versions of [x]HTML (in this case, inline quotes), should it not keep the same name? Much less confusion, I would think. <q> seems to be the only element to which this has happened -- there was no renaming of <tr> to <row> or <table-row>, for example (at least in the current draft). /Jelks
