After a quick read-through of the HLink working draft, it seems like it's done a better job of meeting the XLink goals than XLink did. The biggest benefit I see in HLink over XLink is the amount of change needed in the source document. Being able to specify the link behaviors in seperate files (HLink) vs having to go in and add attributes into the source file (XLink) is a major improvement. While I'm sure there will be some problems to be found and changes to be made, this is definitely a good step in the right direction.
