The rechartered HTML WG recently published the following document:
XHTML 1.0 in XML Schema
W3C Note 2 September 2002

This document provides informative XML Schemas for XHTML 1.0.
These Schemas are still work in progress, and are likely to change
in future updates. This document does not change the normative
definition of XHTML 1.0. Comments and error reports on this document
