not necessarily off-topic: user annotations

folks,
i know this subject regards browser design and not language specification
(maybe a flag, but not more), but looking at it not as a developer, but as a
user, wouldn't it be nice to be able to just jot something down on an
interesting page you've just found, and save it to your disk - maybe even
ftp it back, if you're authorized?
