To anyone interested in educational applications of HTML: This twelve page article from Educational Testing Service (ETS) and the Instructional Management System (IMS) project explains in accurate detail exactly why HTML needs microphone and scanner binary file upload: http://www.dunelm.com/dunelm/Projects/Documents/Papers/ETSppr.pdf Please, if you do nothing else, read the examples on the top of page two. There is no question that the capabilities are vital to education the world over. Why would anyone want to wait for an incompatible redesign of HTML forms, when standard file upload can be extended without the loss of interoperability? Please let me know if there is any reason not to support the draft: http://www.bovik.org/devup.html Thank you for your help, James Salsman
