> What is the SW and what is an SW format? Are you saying a semantic > text editor? An XML writer? Please explain. With pleasure. SW Format: I believe that the best scenario for creating an interfacable Seamntic Web (SW) is to provide a framework that is based on XHTML and RDF: i.e. a sort of hybrid document/data format. I tried to do this myself with annotations, but as usual got a bit bogged down. At the end of the day we need a format that is Semantic but can be easily rnendered using CSS. Plain XML can already acheive this, but doesn't have the correct smeantics (too broad), so I think an XHTML/RDF hybrid is a good direction to go. SW/SW Editor: The problem is that this format will be quite necessarily complex. Therefore, you would need some kind of WYSIWYG editor for it. It should also be able to partially understand other well described XML/RDF formats, ala "Partial Understanding" in TimBL's design notes (forgot the URI). What is required is an editor/browser that can reder/understand/display a documentized form of RDF, as well as understanding any other RDF. In other words, it should be possible to store all of your data as a form of RDF (with a few extra semantics) and broswe and edit it quite easily. I have already showed it is possible to store data as RDF and documentize it on the fly. With XLink capabilities and CSS added to the mixture, the hypermedia possibilities are endless!
