how to make a bar..(2)

Thank you for all the respons from you guys. Sorry to say that the way
you suggest is already on my mind. (Putting a blank or colored image
inside a row)

To be specific, I saw the Register.com website http://www.register.com
and they have a nav bar that looks like what I described in my last
letter. I examined the page source but can't find any HTML tag,
Javascript or CSS that I think generate that nav bar. So anybody can
figure out how to make that nav bar.
