"Reformulating HTML in XML," W3C-WD Dec. 5 1998 (Did I miss this?)

In perusing the HTML portion of the W3C site just now I discovered
this new Working Draft, dated December 5th. I looked in the archives
of this list and did not see any announcement of this draft.

The draft[1] covers the details of "Voyager", the code-name for the
re-casting of HTML in XML.

From the "Future of HTML" section of the HTML area on W3C's site,

A new generation of HTML for the future

In May 1998, representatives from a number of companies and
organizations met to discuss the subject of the future of HTML. The
consensus of opinion was that W3C should start work on the next
generation of HTML with the goal of reducing costs and making it
easier to repurpose content to a wide variety of browser devices. This
work will provide a smooth transition, redefining HTML as an
application of XML. You can read more about this in the HTML
Activity Statement.

The HTML working group has published its first working draft. The
draft WD-html-in-xml describes a reformulation of HTML4 in XML,
providing
namespaces for HTML4 strict, transitional and frameset, along with
associated document type definitions, and guidelines for authoring HTML
in XML for delivery as text/html and text/xml. Your comments are
welcomed on the mailing list: www-html@w3.org (archive). Please include
WD-html-in-xml in the subject line.

FYI and hope I am not rehashing well known information,
