Once upon a time Peter Flynn shaped the electrons to say... > <P INDENT> would be lovely. >Already there: <P STYLE="text-indent:3cm"> yeah, I've been beat about the head for that one. I need to reread the style sheet docs, it has been a LONG time... > <TD> with bgcolor, alink, vlink, link, text and background I would cheer for. >TD already has BGCOLOR and BACKGROUND. No reason not to add the rest. Exactly. But the W3C hasn't to date - that's why I broght it up. > One of the things that annoys me is browsers supporting bgcolor in tables, > and background in some cases - BUT NOT BEING ABLE TO SET TEXT COLORS! >Again: this is a browser issue -- keep it off this list. This is for >HTML, not the bugs of browsers. No, it is an HTML issue too. Those tags are not legitimate for TD with 3.2 nor Cougar. > <LI SRC="fubar.gif"> would be widely applauded. >Been in there for years. Not in anything official. The only thing it appeared in was the 3.0 proposal, which is dead. I do not consider anything that was only in 3.0 'in there'. 3.0 had some nice things, it also had stuff I think was stupid. I don't consider 3.0 atall valid - and since neither does the W3C nor any major browser maker, it doesn't make sense to. -MZ -- Livingston Enterprises - Chair, Department of Interstitial Affairs Phone: 800-458-9966 510-426-0770 FAX: 510-426-8951 megazone@livingston.com For support requests: support@livingston.com <http://www.livingston.com/> Snail mail: 4464 Willow Road, Pleasanton, CA 94588
