Dianne asks: This has been asked several times before, but I have never seen an answer. The question has arisen again because I have been updating my content model trees for HTML 3.2 (<URL:http://www.ozemail.com.au/~dkgsoft/html/html32.html>). The HTML 3.2 DTD dated 18 September 1996 contains: <![ %HTML.Deprecated [ <!ENTITY % html.content "HEAD, BODY, PLAINTEXT?"> ]]> PLAINTEXT was originally an alternative to BODY, not an appendage to it. Is this assumption correct? I think so. ///Peter
