Florin is the Dutch Guilder, a.k.a. HFl and Gulden. It is derived from the name of the city Florence, a.k.a. Firence, where banking was invented. Too bad the Europeans are so confused. Mea culpa. I knew this, like I knew the character, but I just found it hard to credit that an American company would get something so European right for once - my apologies for prejudging them. ///Peter
