Recently I am running up against a problem. I have a CGI script that reads a remote page, but I don't know how to talk with the server. I have made the following guess: telnet> open thishost.thisdoamin 80 ... GET thispath/thispage.html HTTP// will this work? Is there a better way? Is this problem best left to proxies? pcw@hooked.net -------------------------------+----------------------+ _ /| | If you _really_ want to see what I would | GAT(GCS) -d+ -p+ c++ | \,o.O' | like to put here, finger pcw@hooked.net | l u+ e+(++) m@ s+/++ | =(___)= +---------------------------------------------+ n---@ h++ f(+) !g | U | Please send all mail through pcw@hooked.net | w++ t++(@) r- y? | Prodigy?
